Earlier this year, the Migos claimed that they were the "biggest group ever" after Culture II had released, turning some heads as fans remembered the great rap groups in history. While it is at least understandable for Migos to think so highly of themselves, several of their supporters spoke out in support of the claims, including Atlanta-raised Rich The Kid, who agreed that they are the best group ever. Without a mention of Public Enemy, Run-DMC, Mobb Deep, OutKast, Wu-Tang Clan, A Tribe Called Quest and other historically great groups in the hip-hop genre, RTK confidently stated that Migos are better than every one of them.
During an appearance on Power 106, Rich The Kid doubled down on his previous claims as, when prompted to speak about his Migos remarks, the "New Freezer" star simply said, "Yes, for sure. The best group ever! Ever! Ever!" Making it definitively clear that he sincerely believes that no other group in the history of music tops the Migos, he did pay respect to Wu-Tang and ATCQ when the radio host namedropped them as groups that are potentially more worthy of the title than the Atlanta trio. To their credit, Takeoff, Quavo, and Offset have been incredibly influential in popularizing a certain subgenre of hip-hop and while Rich is entitled to believe that they are the greatest of all time, their inclusion at the top will undoubtedly be argued.
