While Toya Wright likes her daughter's boyfriend just fine, she doesn't think the age gap between Reginae and rapper YFN Lucci is anything to write home about. In a preview from the upcoming season of T.I. & Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle, Reginae is shown on the receiving end of a scornful proviso from mother Toya Wright. The conversation begins as Toya refers to YFN as a nice-enough lad.
"I really like him. He's sweet and livin' life. Livin' our best life," explains YFN to her mother Toya, who seemed less-than-enthused with her daughter's approximation of her adult relationship.
Toya Wright, looking on scornfully, filed her own retort. "I don't like the age difference," she replied. "I don't like the fact that he have four kids because I mean, you trying to be stepmom, honey?"
Reginae agreed with her mother in principle, in stating that she had no intention of mothering YFN's other children.
"You know how I feel about that whole rapper thing," Toya added. "I dated your dad when I was younger than that and there's a whole lot that comes with that lifestyle. And that's the last thing I want or any mother want." As you all know, Toya Wright and Lil Wayne conceived Reginae when he was still a teenager.
