Despite having ended their relationship earlier this fall, Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have continued to grab headlines for their romance.

When a promotional clip for SNL capturing Davidson jokingly alluding to his failed engagement to Grande was shared on social media, the Sweetener artist left a jarring comment. "For somebody who claims to hate relevancy u sure love clinging to it huh," she wrote. "Thank u, next," she added.

A few days later, not only was it revealed that Ariana was planning to drop an album titled Thank U, Next, but the songstress also announced that she would deliver a song by the same name. Sure enough, Ari did not disappoint and released a new single, "thank u, next" on which she addresses her personal evolution, as well as ex-boyfriends Big Sean, Ricky Alvarez, Pete Davidson, and Mac Miller. "I’m so fucking grateful for my ex," she sings.

Wrapping up SNL's "Weekend Update" segment last night, Pete shared some poignant words about his relationship with Grande. “I know some of you are curious about the breakup, but the truth is, it’s nobody’s business and sometimes things just don’t work out and that’s OK," he said. "She’s a wonderful, strong person and I genuinely wish her all the happiness in the world.”
