The release of Nicki Minaj's new album has been up in the air for a while. At one point it was even rumored that it was coming prior to Lil Wayne's Carter V, but after "Pills N Potions" was greeted with a lukewarm reception in sales, it seemed a release date was just out of reach for the Young Money rapper.

Luckily, Minaj bounced back with the success of "Anaconda" which benefited from a strong viral campaign, climxing with the record-breaking release of the ass-tastic music video. This week the song (largely off of the YouTube streams) launched to number 2 on the Billboard charts, a record for Minaj, whose previous peak came at number 3 with "Super Bass".

This makes "Anaconda" a bonafide hit, and a bonafide hit means a release date, and thus only a few days after rushing up the charts, Minaj has announced the drop date for The Pinkprint.

Sticking with the Pink Friday theme of her albums, the record will hit stores November 28th, AKA Black Friday. Will you be grabbing a copy?

[Update: New Release Date Revealed]

Last week, Billboard reported that Nicki Minaj’s highly anticipated album, The Pinkprint, was slated for a November 28th release date, but it appears that they were off just by a few days.

Taking to her Twitter account moments ago, Nicki revealed that the follow-up to 2012′s Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded will now officially arrive on November 24th.

The album will host her two latest singles, “Pills N Potions”, and the Sir Mix-A-Lot-sampled “Anaconda,” which is currently No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, and broke the VEVO record for most views in the first 24 hours.
