Metro Boomin's slayed 2017 with the amount of collaborative projects he put out. Whether it was NAV, Offset and 21 Savage or the Big Sean album they recently dropped, he proved to not only be the biggest hit maker of 2017 but also the most versatile. A few years back, he and MadeInTYO mentioned the possibilities of a collaborative project but it never came into fruition. After MadeinTYO dropped the Private Club compilation which included the intro track, "MadeInBoomin," many assumed it was a first taste of what they had in store. However, that doesn't seem to be the case.
Metro Boomin and MadeInTYO both hit social media to clear up rumors of the MadeInBoomin project. Metro took to his Instagram story to debunk the theory while MadeinTYO hit Twitter to do the same. Metro said, "ANY "COLLAB PROJECT" IS FAKE NEWS UNLESS YOU HEARD IT FROM ME!!" while MadeinTYO quoted an article that said they announced the project and simply said, "No we didn't lmao." TYO later acknowledged the strength of their work together by saying "drop one metro song & the fans go krazy ! @MetroBoomin."
While fans may be disappointed, the two of them definitely have some more stuff up their sleeve. Metro launched his "Boominati Records" this year so there's a good chance we'll be seeing him working with more up-and-coming talent in the coming year.
As for MadeinTYO, we're looking forward to hearing his follow up to August's True's World EP.
