Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman have been at the center of the ongoing college bribery scandal. Now, a single mother and former teacher from the Bay Area has filed a multi-billion dollar lawsuit against 45 people, including Loughlin and Huffman, for allegedly cheating their children's way into the top schools in America.
According to ABC 7 News, Jennifer Kay Toy filed a $500 billion lawsuit against the 45 people that are involved in the college bribery scam including Lori Loughlin, Felicity Huffman, and STX Entertainment co-founder Bill McGlashan. Toy's a former school teacher from the Bay Area who said that her son was denied into many of the schools involved in the scandal, despite graduating high school with a 4.2 GPA. She filed a lawsuit against many of the parents indicted in the "Operation Varsity Blues" investigation.
"Joshua applied to some of the colleges where the cheating took place and did not get in," she said. "Joshua and I believed that he’d had a fair chance just like all other applicants but did not make the cut for some undisclosed reason."
Adding, "I’m outraged and hurt because I feel that my son, my only child, was denied access to a college not because he failed to work and study hard enough but because wealthy individuals felt that it was ok to lie, cheat, steal and bribe their children’s way into a good college."
