The next artist in line to unleash their latest creation from within the G.O.O.D. Music house is Teyana Taylor. On Friday June 22nd, Taylor’s sophomore LP KTSE is set to arrive and this evening a select few will get to hear what’s come during a Los Angeles listening party.
Per usual, there aren’t many details available to the general public on KTSE, however, the songstress most recently revealed that there is a guest appearance from a very special someone when she revealed that Lauryn Hill would be featured on an interlude titled “A Word From L Boogie.”
“THAT MOMENT WHEN L BOOGIE @MsLaurynHill sends you a voice note with some strong words of encouragement for ya album interlude OMG OMG OMG I’m about to die,” Teyana penned in a tweet Thursday morning. “#AWORDFROMLBOOGIE BOUT TO BE LIT #KTSE JUNE 22ND.”
Taylor, like many female artists in a male dominated arena has always been vocal about her affinity for Ms. Lauryn Hill, even drawing inspiration from The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill to title her 2012 mixtape The Misunderstanding of Teyana Taylor. In 2014, she was invited to Hill’s daughter’s Sweet 16 birthday party and posted up with Ms. Hill, penning a heartfelt caption in warm accessory.
“This Woman Made Me Understand That Its Ok To Be Unique Musically, Fight The System If You Have To For What U Believe In,” she penned.
As many are awaiting the final product of Teyana Taylor latest catalog addition, this new revelation only adds on to the excitement.
