Kendrick Lamar and Swae Lee were spotted in the studio.

Kendrick Lamar is easily the biggest artist of this year. With the release of DAMN., he's pretty much been at the top of the musical food chain, regardless of genre. Despite the type of music he makes, he's never been one to shy away from pushing his creativity to the fullest. He's worked with an array of artists and it seems like going out of his own comfort zone is his strongest characteristic as an artist.

Last night, young hitmaker, Swae Lee, was spotted in the studio with K. Dot. Lee shared a photo on his Twitter with the caption, "You can't prepare for what's coming," with a clenched fist emoji next to it. Lee's been on a wave this year with "Unforgettable" as well as the success of SremmLife 2. The two artists have previously worked together on Mike-Will's "Perfect Pint" alongside Gucci Mane but haven't really done much besides that together. However, Swae Lee's been actively teasing the forthcoming Rae Sremmurd album so hopefully we'll find Kendrick on one of the tracks on there. Otherwise, maybe there'll end up being a feature from K. Dot on Swae Lee's solo project, Swaecation. Swae Lee's previously stated that SremmLife 3 should be expected at the top of 2018.

Aside from that, both artists have really made a mark this past year with their efforts. Swae Lee's been basking in the success of French Montana's "Unforgettable" that really made his career propel to another level and made his talents as not only a vocalist but as a songwriter more widely recognized by the general public.

Recently, Kendrick Lamar is confirmed to have one of two of 2017's most consumed songs alongside Future. The two of them sit just below Ed Sheeran's "Shape Of You" and Luis Fonsi "Despacito." "HUMBLE." has been consumed at a total of 4.4 million times.

Overall, 2017 has treated Kendrick Lamar and Swae Lee very well, establishing both as two artists in the music industry that continue to deliver some of the hottest music and keeping their pen game sharp.
