Drake has made a habit of launching into an inspiring speech about diversity and inclusivity before performing "God's Plan" at his shows. At his latest tour date in Brooklyn, however, he got a little more candid than usual when he got to the point about Trump.
"I feel like we're all living in a country where they try and tell us every single day, on our cell phone, on our news -- they try to tell us that we're living in a divided country, that we don't understand unity," he said. "And we're listening to this fucking idiot that's in office... and meanwhile right here in Brooklyn, we got 16,000 people from all races and all places and all we doin' is just sitting here enjoying ourselves, listening to music."
He left the crowd with some optimistic words. "No matter how they tell us the world is goin', this is how the fucking world is supposed to work right here in Brooklyn tonight. So I'm proud of you, and I appreciate you," he said.
