D. Lynch is set to drop his new album 1985 on January 19th, with appearances from Snoop Dogg, Havoc, Wiz Khalifa, Rick Ross, and Royce Da 5'9". Today, we're pleased to premiere the album's third track "Speak On It," which features Royce doing what he does best. Over some playful production, both rappers trade punchlines, holding it down for anyone seeking a return to straight lyricism.

Lynch told us about the song's concept, and explained how he managed to land an appearance from the Detroit legend. ""The track lyrically, is about PTSD and other mental disabilities, in a very ironic and sarcastic way I suppose. Not making fun of it, more like "I know I'm crazy, now let's have some fun with it," he explains. "Royce getting on the song, came from the Anno Domini team. I was in the middle of working on the project, and got a call asking me if I had interest in having Royce Da 5'9 on the album. I didn't even have to think about it, and instantly said yes."

Nickle Nine will play the line, lift your mind up

I live life lifeless, I'm young till I'm done
My midlife crisis will be when I'm a hundred and one
