Offset has declared that he misses his wife, and while Cardi B has been remixing her lyrics to reflect the status of their fractured relationship, she also appeared to be experiencing the split with some difficulty. According to reports, various people have witnessed the "Bodak Yellow" star struggling to handle business as usual.
On the day Cardi announced the breakup, she seemed too sad to function normally. The artist was booked for a club gig at Miami's Megaclub E11even during Art Basel on Wednesday evening but only managed to show up at 4 am on Thursday.
“She was at her hotel and still didn’t want to leave at 3 a.m.,” said the source. “Cardi didn’t want to get out of bed.”
People saw her exit the St. Regis at 3:30 a.m.: “Someone was pushing her to the car. She didn’t want to go.” Her audience members also noticed a change in her persona as she “just kind of lip-synced her way through a few songs,” said an attendee.
Another showgoer said, “she didn’t look like she was thrilled to be there . . . It seemed like she was phoning it in, though she did dance and throw some bills.” The bills appeared to help: “Cardi didn’t look happy at all, and then someone brought her a big pile of singles,” an onlooker told PageSix. “It was a huge stack — thousands. It perked her up and put a smile on her face.”
