Pittsburgh's Boaz goes in over J. Cole's "Apparently."

Boaz is a Pittsburgh rapper currently signed to Rostrum Records, an imprint that's also home to Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller. Boaz has collaborated with both Wiz and Mac in the past, as well as with Jadakiss and Schoolboy Q. Boaz is a gangsta rapper who's not afraid to look for inspiration in the streets around him. His faith in God and his undying positivity are what got him out of the streets--an essential part of his OG persona.

In his latest cut, Boaz raps over J. Cole's "Apparently," off his highly-acclaimed 2014 Forest Hills Drive. The simple piano drives Boaz's uplifting message. It's a tribute to all the gangsters out there who keep their heads up and put family first. He's definitely got the confidence, and the lyrics, to become one of the 'burgh's leading voices.

Quotable Lyrics

Same nigga from the block, won't change
All day, you know I never will
Mama raised me with high class
Even though we from the ghetto still
All I know is how to love my brother
That's the only way I'll ever feel
My only goal is to teach y'all
Care less about the record deal
