News <p>Kanye inks a deal to turn G.O.O.D. Music into an official label, with Big Sean serving as its flagship artist.<br />

Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music has inked an exclusive long-term worldwide label agreement with Island Def Jam Music Group. The first release under the terms of the new agreement is Big Sean’s Finally Famous, cementing the Detroit, Michigan up-and-comer as G.O.O.D. Music’s flagship artist.<br />

News <p>Two weeks ago, J. Cole announced that his debut album for Roc Nation was finally complete, approximately two years after signing with the imprint. Now, the North Carolina native is gearing up to drop its first official single.<br />

At the BET Awards nominations press conference earlier this week, Cole told Ms. Drama TV that he will release the album's first single within a few days. "We finally married a single and we picked it, so that's next week. There's no more holdup," J. Cole explained. "As of next week, you'll see me on full-fledged promo mode."<br />

News <p>A man has admitted to shooting rap star Tupac Shakur in 1994 after allegedly being paid $2,500 dollars by James "Jimmy Henchman" Rosemond inside Manhattan's Quad Studios in November of 1994.</p>
<p class="p1">Dexter Isaac, a former friend of Rosemond, is an inmate currently serving life in prison for murder, robbery and other offenses.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p class="p1">Isaac came forward Wednesday (June 15th) with the information on the eve of what would be Tupac's 40th birthday.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>

News <p>Rapper M-Bone of Inglewood, Calif.-based rap group Cali Swag District was shot and killed late last night (May 15). There are still few details about the tragic incident, but TMZ reports that M-Bone was the victim of a drive-by shooting.<br />

At the time of the shooting, which reportedly occurred at 11:30PM, M-Bone was standing beside his car in front of a liquor store in Inglewood. Sources say the shooter was driving down La Brea Avenue when he fired shots. It appears that the shooting was a random act of violence. M-Bone, born Montae Talbert, was only 22 years old.<br />

News <p>Sean Kingston is making moves towards recovery following his catastrophic jet-ski accident over the Memorial Day weekend.<br />

Although doctors stated that it would take up to six months for a full recovery, sources close to Kingston have revealed that he is alert and awake. TMZ is reporting that despite having a breathing tube in his mouth, Kingston is improving daily by communicating with head nods and using sign language.<br />

The LAPD had been responding to a fight between Los Angeles based rapper Ermias “Nipsey Hussle” Asghedom, 25, and his former manager Eugene “Big U” Henley.</p>

News <p>Rapper Lil Wayne wants to, or maybe just needs to, unload his Miami mansion on La Gorce Island, Fla., that he purchased early last year for $14 million. He is asking $12.9 million for a possible quick sale given he has an Internal Revenue Service tax lien hanging over his head.<br />
<br />
The IRS says the rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr., owes the government a total of $5.6 million, which breaks down to $3,351,078 owed for 2008 and $2,258,956 for 2009. Last year, he had liens against him for more than $1 million for the tax years 2004, 2005 and 2007.<br />

News <p>Russell Simmons ran into a little trouble with Bill Cosby, during the Jackie Robinson Foundation gala last week, resulting in a not-so-nice exchange riddled with expletives.<br />

Simmons, who presented Sean "Diddy" Combs with the night's Man of the Year Award, approached the legendary comedian, and host of the event, to apologize for unflattering comments he made during his State of Emergency: Hip-Hop campaign last November, as well as to say "I love you."<br />
