Post Malone & 21 Savage's "Rockstar" just surpassed "Bodak Yellow" on the charts.

Post Malone is a certified hit-maker. It's funny because once he dropped "White Iverson," many were convinced that he wouldn't last long in the industry. However, he continued to prove them wrong. He's dropped some massive singles and was lending his vocals to some of the biggest names in the game. Matter of fact, prior to even dropping his debut album, he found a placement on Kanye West's The Life Of Pablo. Today, he reaches another accomplishment in his career.

Earlier today, Billboard reported that Post Malone's recent single, "Rockstar" featuring 21 Savage, just hit the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for the week of October 28th. The song's been sitting on the charts for about four weeks and upon it's release, it maintained it's position at number two on the charts. It's a prominent accomplishment for Post and 21 in several ways. For one, it marks Post Malone and 21 Savage's first chart topping single. Post's highest performing single on the charts was "Congratulations," that peaked at number eight on the charts. 21 Savage's "Bank Account" peaked at number 12.

Secondly, the rise of "Rockstar" on the charts also means that he's finally topped Cardi B's "Bodak Yellow" which has sat at the top of the charts for the past three weeks. Along with that, it also marks the first time since 2006 that hip hop landed five number one singles in a year. Along with "Rockstar" and "Bodak Yellow" is DJ Khaled's "I'm the One," with Justin Bieber, Quavo, Lil Wayne and Chance The Rapper as well as Kendrick Lamar's "Humble." and Migos' & Lil Uzi Vert's monstrous single, "Bad and Boujee."

Post Malone's "Rockstar" has done much more than hit the number one on the charts. Upon its release, it also got broke Apple Music's streaming records. The record was previously set by DJ Khaled for his number one single, "I'm The One." Apple Music has previously stated that they've been very supportive of Post Malone prior to the song's release, going as far back as when "White Iverson" dropped.

In other Post Malone related news, it's looking like "I Fall Apart" off of Stoney will be receiving visual treatment after a video of him performing it went viral.
