Immersed in a slight dissonance, the instrumental for Curren$y's "Dollar Sign Eyes" is strange to say the least. Blending organic live instrumentation with a disorienting synthesizer line, Spitta's Joey Bada$$ collaboration is a fascinating listen. Driven by a high octave bassline reminiscent of OutKast's "Wheelz Of Steel," even Ron Burgandy's Yazz flute makes a subtle appearance. Dense and lush, the production for this is something like an out of body experience. And while it might be off putting to some, that doesn't stop both rappers from holding it down.

We already know Curren$y and Joey Bada$$ can spit, and there's no exception to this one. Laid back in equal measure, both artists kick braggadocio over the dense soundscape. "I got this shit mastered," raps Joey. "I'm in a different bracket, she hit me after dropping five bands on a jacket, shit the old me would have had to jack it."

Curren$y's Back At Burnie's drops March 16th.

Quotable Lyrics

I got this shit mastered
I'm in a different bracket,
She hit me after dropping five bands on a jacket
Shit the old me would have had to jack it
