Academy Award-winning actor Mahershala Ali recently linked up with Complex's Joe La Puma at Stadium Goods in New York City for a brand new episode of "Sneaker Shopping," which included some talk about his favorite shoes to play ball in and why he didn't wear sneakers to Hollywood auditions.
During the trip to Stadium Goods, Ali also discussed his past life as a BMX racer, what it was like growing up in the Bay Area, and relived how jealous he felt when he saw one of his friends rocking Air Jordan 2s. In speaking about his favorite shoes to hoop in, he also explained why the Nike Air Tech Challenge II holds a special place in his heart.
Ali, who stars in the upcoming season of True Detective, walked out of Stadium Goods with $2368.03 worth of merch, including the "White/Cement" Air Jordan 3, Off-White x Nike Air Presto, and the Adidas Yeezy Calabasas Powerphase.
