Still riding on the release of August’s Trust The Process project, Ace Hood returns with the new single “3 Bless,” and its accompanying visuals. Known for his aggressive delivery and a displayed hunger to reign supreme, Ace’s Trust The Process was a clear representation of the growth the Florida-bred emcee has experienced since 2013’s Trial and Tribulations album, as he’s branched out on his own since walking away from DJ Khaled’s We The Best label.
“It was just time for a new start,” he said of the split in a recent interview. “That’s all it was. My mind was in a different place and I wanted something different for myself. I seen something larger for myself and I felt like I needed to remove myself from under the umbrella to accomplish that.”
“But we’ve been able to do great things,” he went on to add of DJ Khaled. “That’s my brother and I love him and we still got a cordial relationship to this day. But just like any relationship, you’re older now. You’ve been with women when you were younger and you’re not with them anymore. Things happen in relationships—you break up at some point, but you keep pushing forward.”
According to Ace, Trust The Process is the first part of a trilogy that will conclude with a forthcoming album, set for release in “about a year.” If anything, this new video visualizes everything Ace has been trying to relay to perfection. “For all of my niggas that kept it 100, I feel I'm in debt / For all of my people who back in my city, I got a connect,” he opens up on the cut. “I'm a survivor / Little more wiser /Lining my chakras, 3rd eye monster.”
Currently, Ace is prepping for his supporting Trust The Process Tour set to go across North America for dates in cities that include Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Montreal. Check out the full dates below, and be sure to hit replay on his latest clip.
