Dvsn know how to set the mood.

Last Friday, OVO's dvsn dropped their newest album Morning Afterand the early consensus is looking positive. Now, the duo made up Daniel Daley and Nineteen85 have come through with some intimate visuals for "Mood," enlisting the talents of the lovely Raven Tracy. Tracy takes on a starring role in the clip, setting the...mood...for what looks to be a sensual night in with a lover. The dress is tight, the makeup is on, the liquor is poured, the weed is sparked, and the lingerie is on point. Overall, it's a minimalist video, but the concept is executed with finesse by filmmakers LeSean Harris and the creative team of dvsn's own Paul 'Nineteen85' Jefferies, LeSean Harris, Trevor Wineman and Nick Muller.

A special shout out has to go to the sound design team, who added a subtle layer of diegetic sound beneath dvsn's slow jam. The clinks of silverware, the door opening and closing, each little sound serves to enhance the vibe. It's always cool when music videos attempt something a little more experimental, and dvsn's cinema squad seems capable of pushing the boundaries. Plus, at the risk of sounding warm-blooded, Raven Tracy isn't exactly hard on the eyes. It's interesting that the clip takes a few tried and true hip-hop archetypes, like half naked women and smoking weed, and manages to reinvent them with a distinguished sense of class.

Check out the video, and sound off below. Are you down with this clip, or do you feel as if it only gets good around the final forty seconds or so?  And there's the album to consider. Have ya'll been enjoying The Morning After? If so, which song would you like to see a video for? Stay tuned with us for more from dvsn.
