Timbaland adds his magic touch to Jacob Banks' "Unknown (To You)"

Jacob Banks is a rising R&B star out of the UK. He has ties to many of the notable grime and hip hop acts that are coming out of there right now. He first broke through into the UK's R&B and Soul scene in 2012 with his debut EP, The Monologue. Since then, he's been making waves throughout the country. He's one of the most revered singers out right now and the work that he's put in is beginning to get noticed across the pond. Today, he releases the Timbaland remix to his latest single "Unknown (To You).

If Timbaland's remixing your song, you know you're doing something right. The producer's not only incredible with the work he does within hip hop but the way he's able to translate his skills into R&B as well as other genres is pretty incredible. The latest remix he's done to Jacob Banks' single shows that his magic touch hasn't faded. The original song has a slow build, with not much percussion in it until way later in the song but has one of the most epic build-up's in R&B. With Timbo, he gives a bit of the vibe he dropped on One Republic's "Apologize" years a go. Nonetheless, it's always nice to hear Timbaland coming out with new stuff.

Timbo's been hard at work lately and it seems that he's beginning to work with a lot of the new cats on the come up. Most recently, he linked up with Ski Mask the Slump God and Offset for their highly anticipated collaborative single, "With Vengeance." Ski Mask was previously spotted in the studio with him. He's also teased that he has a mixtape coming out with a "loved producer." While he didn't mention that it was Timbaland, he later posted a snippet of a track he had with Timbaland which only led to fans speculating that the "loved producer" may very well be him.

Quotable Lyrics
If I told you different, would it sound the same?
Would it make a difference in anyway? Oh no
I know I done wrong I'll pay for it
It's your turn to talk for once I'm listenin'
