Ski Mask The Slump God & Timbaland Have Hit The Studio

It has finally happened. After months of destroying Timbaland classic instrumentals, Ski Mask The Slump God has officially hit the studio with Timbo to lay down some original music. While the collaboration seemed somewhat inevitable, the meeting of the minds is an excellent pairing for both the younger and older generations. Timbo has been doing this for a minute now, and seeing him at work in the studio must be an exciting and informative experience for the Slump God.  It's crazy to think that Ski Mask is actually working with his favorite producer, so it's hard not to be happy for the up-and-comer.

Ski Mask originally made the announcement on Twitter, stating "Me And Timbaland In The Studio Right Now. Be Ready." This news came on the heels of Ski Mask teasing an upcoming tape with a "loved producer," which led many to speculate he'd be linking up with Timbo. Ultimately, the jury is still out on that one, but at least we know that some new Ski Mask and Timbaland music will be dropping in the near future. As for the aforementioned tape, perhaps it was Timbaland all along, and Ski merely waited to make the confirmation. Otherwise, I suppose we'll find out soon enough.

In case you missed it, Ski Mask's breakout hit "Catch Me Outside" found the rapper tripping balls over Timbo and Missy Elliot's "She's A Bitch" beat. Next, Ski Mask and A$AP Ferg teamed up for "ILoveYourAunt," which found the rappers going in over Missy Elliot & Timbo's "Get Ur Freak On." Sensing a pattern here? While Ski Mask has proven to excel over Missy Elliot's Timbaland cuts, it will certainly be interesting to see what the legendary producer cooks up for him.

There's no word on when this fire will drop, but rest assured that's most definitely coming. Props to Ski Mask The Slump God!
