Britney's mother hopes the singer can heal her relationship with Jamie Lynn.

To say that Britney Spears' relationship with her family in recent years has been turbulent would be an understatement. Despite all the difficulties, the families matriarch wants Britney to make nice with her sibling. According to Page Six, Spears' mother Lynne is "begging Britney to make amends with her sister Jamie Lynn." The report also states that the pair are "leaning toward a yes. Lynne knows that Britney does miss her sister, and she told her that the feeling is obviously mutual.”

Reports are conflicting in regard to the speed with which Lynne is trying to reunite the sisters. One insider claims that she is "“not going to rest until everything is perfect again." Another claims that “Lynne knows that it still will take time to get back on the same page and fall into all the right places their relationship needs to be." Regardless, all the insiders agree that nothing will happen without an apology from Jamie Lynn to her sister Britney.

Britney Spears has often been subject to second-hand rumors and reports. Her ex-husband Kevin Federline made a statement denouncing those that reported a recent story of Spears' drug use. This attempt at reconciliation with her sister comes just a month after Britney and her mother patched things up. Fans were mixed in their responses to that news following the years-long, controversy-laden #FreeBritney movement which made fans deeply distrustful of Lynne.

While Lynne was not the movement's primary target, she became one of many villains of the #FreeBritney protests. The movement gained international recognition following reports of the allegedly abusive conservatorship Britney Spears had been placed under by her family for years. She was finally free from the conservatorship in November of 2021. What do you think about the newest reports surrounding Britney and Jamie Lynn Spears? Let us know in the comments below.
