The two were among many celebrities at the event's amfAR gala in southern France.

Lori Harvey and Teyana Taylor had everyone's mouths agape at the Cannes Film Festival's amfAR gala. Not only did they show off their toned bodies, but their beautiful dresses just goes to show how much style they can muster for each event. On one hand, the Harlem artist wore a sleek black dress that left her mid-riff exposed. Harvey went for a similar approach, leaving her abs visible while rocking a tighter and more vibrant red piece. For those unaware, the gala raised funds for research and awareness projects concerning HIV and AIDS. Other stars in attendance were Queen Latifah, her partner Eboni Nichols, Odell Beckham Jr., Leonardo DiCaprio, Devin Booker, Heidi Klum, and many more.

Both stars have been on quite the hot streak lately, with Teyana Taylor recently starring in the remake of White Men Can't Jump. "I think we all came to the conclusion that we were going to leave the very big shoes in a glass case, and leave it beautiful," she told VIBE. "Understanding that it’s not broke so we shouldn’t be trying to fix it, not taking those big shoes out the case to fill them. I think what we did was customize our own pair of shoes and made it our own and we sampled a classic.

“We then added our own melodies, and our own tones, and instruments, and different things like that," the 32-year-old continued. "We call it a remix, we remixed and sampled a classic record, and we created our very own beautiful record. It was a love letter to the original classic." Meanwhile, Lori Harvey has been making fans fall in love with her social media even more thanks to her adorable relationship with Damson Idris. Back in February, the actor spoke a little bit on enjoying his time with the star model.

"I think my advice to anyone who walks down that path is to just keep it as regular and normal as possible," Idris remarked of their high-profile status. "Really, really connect to each other and not the outside forces around. Just understanding that you don’t always have to show the world your personal life and that what you do for a living is an extension of yourself, and that’s your baby. And you need to protect that. You also need to protect your personal self too. And, of course, it’s the topic of gossip, and the blogs want to talk about that over the work. I see that a lot. But they’ll get over it soon enough. And in a couple days, someone else will be dating, and then they’ll leave me alone." Regardless, for more on Lori Harvey and Teyana Taylor, return to HNHH.

About The Author
Gabriel Bras Nevares is a music and pop culture news writer for HotNewHipHop. He started in 2022 as a weekend writer and, since joining the team full-time, has developed a strong knowledge in hip-hop news and releases. Whether it’s regular coverage or occasional interviews and album reviews, he continues to search for the most relevant news for his audience and find the best new releases in the genre. What excites him the most is finding pop culture stories of interest, as well as a deeper passion for the art form of hip-hop and its contemporary output. Specifically, Gabriel enjoys the fringes of rap music: the experimental, boundary-pushing, and raw alternatives to the mainstream sound. As a proud native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, he also stays up-to-date with the archipelago’s local scene and its biggest musical exponents in reggaetón, salsa, indie, and beyond. Before working at HotNewHipHop, Gabriel produced multiple short documentaries, artist interviews, venue spotlights, and audio podcasts on a variety of genres and musical figures. Hardcore punk and Go-go music defined much of his coverage during his time at the George Washington University in D.C. His favorite hip-hop artists working today are Tyler, The Creator, Boldy James, JPEGMAFIA, and Earl Sweatshirt.
