Lil Wayne has a personal chef on stand by, even on tour.

Lil Wayne committed to eating healthy early on in his career and he continues to maintain a better diet than most touring artists. It’s no secret that the tour life can be strenuous for artists. Between time restraints and moving from city to city, it's hard to find a home-cooked meal. However, Weezy found himself a solution to that. The Louisiana-bred rapper doesn’t go anywhere without his personal chef, especially when he’s on tour. He revealed that he pulled his bus over to have his chef whip him up a healthy meal.

“We had pulled over to eat, and you know, I don’t eat fast food so we pulled over to cook,” he said. “Eat healthy young men, young women.” Several bags of groceries are aligned on the ground along with a small set-up where his chef whips up meals for himself and everyone else on the tour. Although some artists would just wait for catering once they get to the venue, Lil Wayne clearly prefers to have someone on standby, in case he gets hungry.

Lil Wayne Avoids Fast Food At All Cost

Wayne explained to Zane Lowe in February that he hasn’t touched fast food since he was 19 years old. He explained that his mother, who was also a chef, encouraged him to ensure that he was eating healthy foods. “When I was 19, I moved to Miami and my mom is a chef and she was very happy for the move because New Orleans is crazy. One thing she really wanted me to do was get a personal chef,” he said.

He added, “So from the age of 19 to now, I’ve always had a personal chef. I haven’t eaten any fast food forever, I don’t know what McDonalds smell like. Only Gym I know is Jim Jones. I can’t lift a weight, I don’t do no workout.” Still, Lil Wayne remains an avid skater, so it’s not like he’s lacking physical activity. Plus, he’s certainly putting in tons of cardio on stage every night on the Welcome To Tha Carter tour. Check out Lil Wayne’s video above and sound off with your thoughts in the comments.
