Chance the Rapper has been married for four years now. He and his wife, Kirsten Corley, have been together since 2013 and tied the knot after six years of dating. They've had some rough patches, including a brief period where they separated and Corley demanded child support from Chance. The couple have two daughters together.

However, Chance got into some hot water recently. He celebrated his 30th birthday on April 16, spending time at Carnival in Jamaica. There, he was caught grinding on a woman who is most definitely not his wife. The footage appears to show Chance joining the tail end of a twerking chain, grinding up on the woman and slapping her ass. It is unknown if his wife was in Jamaica with him at the time. Fans debated the footage endlessly and eagerly awaited the next chapter of the drama.

Chance And Kirsten Reportedly Fine

The couple appeared to trade passive-aggressive Instagram posts. Corley shared an image of Maya Angelou's The Art of Fiction, highlighting a passage about people failing to grow up. The prevalent part, highlighted by Corley, was "Most people don’t grow up. It’s too damn difficult. What happens is most people get older. That’s the truth of it. They honor their credit cards, they find parking spaces, they marry, they have the nerve to have children, but they don’t grow up. Not really. They get older. But to grow up costs the earth, the earth. It means you take responsibility for the time you take up, for the space you occupy. It’s serious business." Chance had a cultural reference of his own, sharing a clip from a Bill Burr Netflix special about marriage. The rapper also posted pro-twerking lyrics, seemingly showing his stance on the discourse.

However, things are reportedly fine between the couple. A representative for Chance spoke to TMZ saying simply, "Everyone has their moments, but they're all good." So that appears to be the end of the drama. There is not going to be a messy divorce or continued barbs. The couple has seemingly resolved their issues privately and are moving on with their lives. However, if there is more to the story, you can expect to find it here on HotNewHipHop.
