Jim Jones met up with New York City Mayor Eric Adams, earlier this week, at his own mother’s house. Afterward, he shared a photo of the interaction on Instagram. The two previously met for the first time at Drake’s Apollo Theater show back in January.

“Mayor E popped up at my mamma crib," Jones wrote. "You know how I feel bout u if u the eat food out my mamma fridge. My love for my city is deep." Fans of Jones weren't entirely happy with the post. “Hey Jim, do us all a favor and tell Playboy Eric Adams to do some damn work. Please and thank u,” one person wrote. Another added: “Doing everything but his damn job!”

After Jim Jones first bumped into Eric Adams during Drake’s Apollo Theater show, the Dipset rapper revealed that the Mayor texted him to plan a meeting within days. He wanted to discuss humanitarian efforts across Harlem with the legendary rapper. "A man of his word woke up to a text from @nycmayor askin if I can meet him in Harlem this afternoon Which was a surprise because our schedule meeting was for next month,” Jones wrote on Instagram at the time. “Thts wht I alway say stay ready so u do have to get ready. Eric Adams became the Mayor of New York City after defeating Republican Curtis Sliwa in the 2021 general election in a landslide victory. During his administration, he's been a controversial figure for his tough-on-crime approach to policing. He's reintroduced a plain-clothed unit of police officers and been strict about unhoused people sleeping on subway cars.
