An unlikely friendship exists between two of the UK's hottest musical exports. Ahead of the upcoming releases of their respective albums, the London rap phenom known as Stormzy sat down for a hilarious chat with the fuzzy-headed pop sensation Ed Sheeran, whose "Shape of You" is currently the No. 1 song in both the UK and the US.
The two Brits discussed the origins of their heartwarming rapport during the latest episode of Noisey's "Back & Forth." "You was everything that I hoped for you to be," laughs Stormzy. "It's a wedding speech, innit?"
They also shared memories from the humbler stages of their careers and took on topics such as memes, DMs, and sex dreams. Watch their 11-minute conversation below.
Ed Sheeran's third album, ÷ (divide), is set for release on March 3, while Stormzy's anticipated debut, Gang Signs & Prayer, is set to drop on Friday, Feb. 24.
