Chlöe's debut studio album drops on March 31st.

Over the past two years, Chlöe Bailey’s readied fans for a new chapter in her career with her solo debut album, In Pieces. Though she emerged into the music industry as a teenager, her forthcoming project will showcase her growth into a woman. It’s as evident as the singles she’s released for the project. The anthemic “Have Mercy,” produced by Murda Beatz, showcased her embracing her sexuality openly. Then, she dropped joints like the Chris Brown-assisted “How Does It Feel” that showcased a more romantic aspect of her artistry.

All in all, she has range and that seems to be exactly what we’ll be getting next Friday. On Monday (March 20th), she shared the official tracklist for the project, which boasts fourteen songs in total. The aforementioned Chris Brown collaboration will appear at #7, while other features include Missy Elliott and Future. The former appears on “Told Ya” and the latter on the aptly titled, “Cheatback.” The carefully curated features strongly suggest that In Pieces will provide fans with a glimpse into Chlöe's life that we’ve yet to see in the past.

Chlöe Bailey Explains “In Pieces” Inspiration

Last week, Chlöe Bailey dropped the official cover art for In Pieces, which was inspired by a picture of a doll holding its heart. She explained that the cover itself represents an incredibly difficult time in her life. “But now after healing, doing self-work and shedding this skin of false perfection, I find the beauty in pain,” she explained. Chlöe Bailey added, “IN PIECES  is for the ones like me who wear their outer shell so well that you’d have no idea what they’re going through. I hope this project brings healing to those who listen, as it’s been completely therapeutic for me…”

The new album couldn’t come at a better time. Chlöe is fresh off of a performance at SXSW this weekend but prior to that, she appeared in the highly anticipated series, Swarm on Amazon Prime. Chlöe takes on the role of Marissa Jackson, the older sister of Dre (played by Dominique Fishback). However, it was her opening scene with Damson Idris that left people’s jaws dropped on the floor. With In Pieces due out on Friday, we’re sure that people will have way more to talk about than her appearance in Swarm.
