Shannon Sharpe is someone who knows what it takes to be successful in the NFL. Overall, he was one of the best tight ends to ever do it. In fact, many credit him for changing the way the position is played. Moreover, he was able to win three Super Bowl titles, and he did so over a four-year span. He is simply a legend of the game, and when he speaks, football fans listen. Unfortunately, he cannot get his own co-host to listen, but we digress.

Now that NFL free agency is here, Sharpe is getting to talk about his bread and butter, which is football. This year, there has already been a ton of movement. Additionally, players like Odell Beckham Jr. are trying to get back on the field. In fact, OBJ recently held a workout in which 12 teams showed up. Clearly, there is some interest in the wide receiver. However, he is looking for a contract that would pay him a whopping $20 million per year. This figure has raised some eyebrows, including Sharpe's.

Shannon Sharpe Speaks

In the clip above, Sharpe speaks on how this figure doesn't really make much sense. Although Shannon Sharpe likes Odell, he believes the asking price is just too high. After all, Beckham Jr. has been through some injuries over these past few years. “He looked good, under control, but $20M for a guy who is coming off two ACL surgeries is asking an awful lot," Sharpe said. In the past, it seemed like either the Buffalo Bills, New York Giants, or Dallas Cowboys would sign him. However, there is no telling which team wants him right now. Overall, it is one of those big stories to continue following.

Now that OBJ has torn his ACL twice, there is no telling how he will be able to perform. That said, it is easy to see why some teams are reluctant to take the risk. Hopefully, however, we get to see Odell back on the field this season. He is fun to watch and certainly makes the game better. Let us know which team you want to see Odell sign with, in the comments down below.
