From Air Jordan 11’s to Adidas Freak Ultra Cleats.

Super Bowl LVII was eventful. The Kansas City Chiefs won in a tremendous turnover with 24 points in the second half. Rihanna carried out an iconic performance while simultaneously announcing her second pregnancy. Diving deeper into the footwear, there were several noteworthy cleat moments from this Super Bowl.

Starting with Jalen Hurts, the quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles. Hurts is known for his swaggy style on and off the field. He began the night with Air Jordan 11 cleats in the first quarter of the game. The cleats were predominantly white with both the mudguard and collar coated in “Eagle” green. This is a hue that is identifiable with the Eagles' signature colors. The Air Jordan 11 is known for its sleek look, with its classic black and white “Concord” style. It was previously worn by Hurts in past games this season. Micheal Jordan also sported the shoe during his time with the Chicago Bulls.

Hurts then changed into another favored Air Jordan silhouette, the Air Jordan 1, during the second half of the game. Due to the slippery conditions of the field, these were a better alternative for Hurts. The Air Jordan 1 cleat was dressed in the same green, black, and white colorway as the Air Jordan 11 cleat. In true Eagle style, of course.

Next up on the list would be the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes' Adidas Freak Ultra. Mahomes is an Adidas ambassador so it is no surprise that he flaunted his collab with the German athletic giant in a victorious fashion. The cleats were dripped in matching white, yellow, and red hues, similar to the Chiefs' signature colors.

Jerick McKinnons' Nike Kobe 8 Cleats

Footwear Moments

Runningback for the Chiefs Jerick McKinnon's cleats honored late basketball legend, Kobe Bryant. McKinnon wore a custom pair of cleats designed to look like the Nike Kobe 8 “What the Kobe” colorway. The cleat was created by artist and designer Mache. The cleats make a statement on the field while honoring one of the greatest basketball players of all time in the process.

Although we are not picking favorites, we cannot help but admire all of the cleat choices from this Super Bowl. Specifically, Jalen Hurts’ iconic switcheroo moment. This Super Bowl was one to watch. If you did not get the chance to watch the game or the unforgettable halftime show, you are now up to speed on all of the best footwear moments from Sunday night’s game.
