It's been a difficult past few months for Kid Cudi, who checked himself into rehab for depression and suicidal urges, resulting in a slight delay of his new album Passion, Pain and Demon Slayin. There was an outpouring of support following Cudder's announcement (rightly so), which ultimately was a sense of comfort for Cudi, who shared an open letter to thanks all those supporters.
At midnight, the anticipated album Passion, Pain and Demon Slayin finally arrived. It's a 19-track effort, with choice features-- Travis Scott and Willow Smith each get a look, while Pharrell Williams and Andre 3000 get two a piece. Andre 3k helps to close out the album with "The Guide." It's a dark, creepy record with a quivering synth line and a guitar melody to accompany it-- Cudi provides an additional sense of melody with his trademark howling and humming.
