Big K.R.I.T. surprised us last night, kinda, when he dropped a free project, It's Better This Way. The rapper had teased that something would be coming like, really soon, when we chopped it up with him briefly at the BET Hip-Hop Awards, however we didn't know it'd be a free mixtape (with features from Warren G, Ludacris, K Camp and more).
Although the rapper is now two albums deep, he hasn't neglected the mixtape circuit (and that's when the mixtape circuit has changed landscape to become more of need-to-pay-for-it-anyways realm). There's sure to be some soulful wisdom on It's Better This Way, but for our TBT song today we revisit the now 5-year old tape K.R.I.T. Wuz Here for some of the more ratchet stylings of KRIT. It's one of the first mixtapes that really started Krizzle's buzz, and "Glass House" is still dope.
