Wasiu is a young rapper from Montreal who's really been impressing us with his recent tracks. There was the dancey, Kaytranada-produced "Physical," the powerful "Stereotype," and now he's given us something that sits squarely between those two.
"Bout 02 Blow" was produced by VXNYLBEATS, and he gives it a grainy, propulsive instrumental that sounds like an El-P beat meeting one by Noah "40" Shebib head-on. This time around, Wasiu intersperses humorous bars with more politically-motivated ones, ending up with an impressive, highly enjoyable performance. Wasiu will be releasing a new project later this spring, and although it doesn't have a title yet, we're already anticipating it eagerly.
