Joey Bada$$ provides Funkmaster Flex with 5 minutes of spontaneous heat.

It's always a good time when Joey Bada$$ is live on the radio, especially when he's in his hometown. When he's in the booth with HOT 97's Funk Flex, one can expect a freestyle of the fieriest variety, and that's just what the Badmon has given listeners in the third installment of Funk's new freestyle series. Joey begins with a rhetorical question -- "Is this New York?" -- and he then falls into complex rhyming patterns just seconds after the beat drops. And damn, he barely stutters -- except when he mimics the sound effects of a powerful karate chop: "Substantial content in anything I'm droppin' / And the flows I'm kickin' -- 'kuh-kuh-kuh' / Karate choppin'."

He continues to show off his amazing energy and imagination for almost five minutes. How does this one compare to the "Sway in the Morning" freestyle -- with which he decimated Troy Ave -- from earlier this year?
