In February of last year, we reported on Netflix's plans to introduce a hip-hop-inspired TV series called "The Get Down," which would be executive produced by Baz Luhrmann. One of our commenters asked for a reminder in nine months, and as luck would have it, a trailer for the TV show has arrived today, which should do the trick.
The TV show is described as follows: "Told through the lives and music of a ragtag crew of South Bronx teens, The Get Down is a mythic saga of the transformation of 1970s New York City."
There's no set premiere date, but it is arriving in 2016. We'll keep you posted.
