After releasing photo stills from "Barbershop: The Next Cut" on Monday, Warner Brothers dropped the first official trailer yesterday.
The movie stars Ice Cube as Calvin, owner and proprietor of Calvin's Barbershop in the South Side of Chicago. His wife now operates her beauty salon out of the barbershop, and among their new employees are Nicki Minaj and Common, who appear to be dating. Minaj actually seems like a decent actress based on this trailer. Here's what her character said about her giant butt: "It's like walking around with a black AmEx. And I never get denied."
Here is the central conflict of the film: the neighborhood is getting rougher, and Cube is tryna raise his kids right and keep the shop in business. Tyga, looking like Namond Brice, plays a street tough and a potentially corrupting influence on Ice Cube's kid.
