After spending the better part of last year acting on TV show Mr Robot and touring with ScHoolboy Q on Blank Face World tour, 21-year-old Pro Era emcee Joey Badass' single "Devastated" has gone gold. The RIAA officially certified it on January 6.
The Brooklyn rapper debuted the song at Coachella last year during a set that turned a lot of heads in the industry. It's stunning to realize that this is the young veteran's first commercial hit. On the track, Badass talks about the hardship he had to endure and the patience it took before hitting it big.
The spitter has an album titled A.A.B.A. in the works this year. Catch him performing at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City on January 18.
