Lil Wayne is recovering from a recent elbow surgery.

It appears Lil Wayne will just be getting out of recovery mode when he releases the second installment in his No Ceilings mixtape next week. Taking to Twitter Wednesday afternoon, Tunechi announced that he just had successful elbow surgery done by Dr. Kaplan at the University of Miami hospital.

“Much luv [to] Dr. Kaplan [and] his team at Univ. of Miami hospital for a successful (elbow) surgery. [And] dey had me on the tunes during surgery… dope!” tweeted Lil Wayne.

Why the surgery was needed remains a question, but it’s probably a safe bet to guess that is was caused from a skateboarding-related incident, just like his 9 stitches in 2011 & left shoulder injury in 2012.

Check out the tweet below. No Ceilings 2 arrives Thanksgiving Day.
