Kissin Pink

For this week's TBT, go back to the beginnings of the A$AP movement with the ultra chilled "Kissin Pink," off 2011's "Live.Love.A$AP."

Full disclosure: Today's TBT kinda sorta comes a day late, as Rocky and Ferg's 2011 track "Kissin' Pink" is an absolute 4/20 essential. However, many are likely suffering through the annual 4/21 kush hangover, and there's no better cure than picking up where last night left off and keeping the holiday spirit alive. And though the song is actually dedicated to the particularly lightened hue of dirty Sprite, we can't exactly advocate for that type of inebriation.

More importantly, "Kissin Pink" introduced the world to A$AP Ferg, and the Beautiful Lou-produced track is early evidence of just how masterfully the Mob was able to execute a Houston-inspired sound that still resonated in the streets of New York. A day before the arrival of Ferg's long-awaited sophomore album, Always Strive and Prosper, "Kissin Pink" is a reminder of how far the two leading A$AP members have come. Nonetheless, this will always rank among their best collabs.

Quotable Lyrics

Purple on the mustache, now it's time to screw you
And I wanna chop 'n screw you
Moving on my turtle time, feeling like the world is mine
And I be on my Fergenstein

- A$AP Ferg
