In an audio recording acquired by by HipHopDX, Snoop Dogg tells the story of the time he brought Stevie Wonder into the studio to record some harmonica for his upcoming album Bush. This all went down thirteen months ago. Snoop was in the studio with a very high Pharrell at the time. Here's what he said:
"This shit would be dope if we put Stevie Wonder on there, and then Pharrell was like, 'You think you can get it?' I'm like, 'Hell yeah I can get it,'" he said. "They got him right on the phone and I was like, 'Unc, what's happenin?' I'm with Pharrell, we in the studio, we got a record for you. He was like, 'Pharrell?' I'm like, 'We got one, nigga, me, you and P. It's so motherfucking magical right now. Could you just come play the harmonica on it?' He was like, 'I'll be there.'
"Once he get there, Pharrell sitting at the board, Stevie go in the booth. I'm like, 'Alright he in there, go in there and produce him,'" he said. "Pharrell looking at me like, 'I don't know what to do, what you want me [to do]?' I'm like, 'Go in there and produce him, nigga!'"
