YNW Melly was arrested earlier this year for the alleged double murder of his two friends, YNW Juvy and YNW Sakchaser. At first, it was believed that the two YNW affiliates had been killed as part of a drive-by shooting. Melly actually spoke out after the fact to pay tribute to his two friends. If he ends up being proven guilty on all counts he's being charged on, the rapper will be facing the death penalty, which was revealed last week. His mother has addressed the Florida star's fans, crying while listening to his music and now, his father has come forward by actually remixing Melly's hit song "Murder On My Mind."
Right off the bat, Melly's dad, who goes by Donte "Tha Gift" Taylor, says his son is completely innocent. As noted by Complex, it's currently unverified whether or not Donte is actually Melly's father but sources close to the rapper have seemingly confirmed their relationship. A man who claims to have grown up with Melly's mother and father says that the identity of the man singing the "Murder On My Mind" remix is legitimate.
The track isn't mixed very well at all but you can see where YNW Melly got his musical talent from. Clearly, his father had a big influence on him.
