The Roots will soon have another concept album under the belt, with And Then You Shoot Your Cousin scheduled for a May 20th release. Black Thought previously shared some of his own thoughts on the forthcoming album, during which he stated, "It’s conceptual; it’s another concept album in the spirit of Undun, but it’s not just about just one kind of character, we create quite a few different characters in this record. It’s satire, but in that satire it’s an analysis of some of the stereotypes perpetuated in not only the hip-hop community, but in the community. I don’t know if that makes any sense."

Today The Roots have let go cover artwork for the album, and it really is artwork. It's a multi-media collage, created by Romare Bearden. The album can be pre-ordered now, and if you so desire you can order of bundle of goodies to come with it, here.

The first single off the LP "When The People Cheer" can be heard here.
