Harper is looking to do big things with the Phillies.

Bryce Harper was one of the biggest free agents on the market this season and for good reason. While he may not have the best stats in the league, he had a superstar personality that attracts a ton of eyeballs to the sport. It only makes sense that a team like the Philadelphia Phillies would want to sign him to a big 13-year contract. The team is currently in Spring Training right now and before today, Harper hadn't hit a home run with the team. That all changed this afternoon though when Harper stepped up to the plate in the team's matchup against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Going up against pitcher Sam Gaviglio, Harper blasted the ball over the right field wall to score his first ever home run as Philly. Unfortunately for Harper, the home run won't count towards his stats since it's still preseason, although the dinger will surely help his confidence as the season approaches.

The Phillies are set to make their season debut on March 28th at Citizens Bank Park against the Atlanta Braves. It will be interesting to see how Harper performs and whether or not he can help the team win a World Series.
