While Kanye West has been teasing a potential run for president in 2024, his wife Kim Kardashian is engaging herself in the political realm as well. Kim has been known to speak up on issues revolving around criminal justice and criminal justice reform. She even met with President Donald Trump last year to talk about prisoner Alice Marie Johnson, who President Trump eventually granted clemency to, according to The Hollywood Reporter. This past Monday, Kim got even more involved in the crusade for criminal justice reform, by visiting the California Capitol to visit with lawmakers and discuss the "Free The Vote Act."

As reported by The Hollywood Reporterthe "Free The Vote Act" would allow 48,000 parolees to vote in the 2020 election, if the bill is ultimately ratified. This would be a huge development, and Kardashian spoke with politicians on both sides of the aisle, democrat and republican, to come to a solution.

"Had a great day at the California Capital today discussing criminal justice reform," Kardashian wrote on Twitter.

Kevin McCarthy, California state assemblyman was the one who introduced the amendment on Monday and took a selfie with Kim. It's clear some of the politicians were excited to have someone as high-profile as Kim amongst them discussing a topic that can truly change lives.

What do you think of Kim's foray into the political game?
