Dave East Calls "Old Town Road" Wack, Lil Nas X Appears To Respond

Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road" is the hottest song in the country but not everyone is feeling it. Dave East took to Instagram to share his seemingly unpopular opinion on the track.

"Old Town Road" is getting love across the board from both fans of country and hip-hop. It ultimately led Billy Ray Cyrus to hop on the remix with another remix featuring Young Thug seemingly on the way. Dave East took to Instagram to express his disdain towards the track.

"This fuckin' 'Old Town Road' shit is fuckin' wack. I don't know what the fuck is going on with hip-hop," he said. "I ain't no hater, man, but that shit is wack with a cape on it. It's super wack."

It appears though that Lil Nas X may have caught wind of East's comments. The rapper shared a small snippet of Kevin Hart talking about how "hating" is the cool thing to do.

East may have caught some backlash for his comments but at the end of the day, it hasn't taken away from the fact that it's one of the hottest songs out right now. The song debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 before the remix featuring Miley Cyrus dad helped the song maintain its position for a second week in a row.
