Remy Ma's spokesperson is slamming Love & Hip-Hop star Brittney Taylor's claim that the "Wake Me Up" rapper assaulted her at a benefit concert in Brooklyn three weeks ago. Ernest Duke, Remy's publicist, issued a statement claiming that there's "no credible evidence" to support Taylor's assault claim.
"In addition to the fact that Taylor bypassed numerous police officers that were on the scene to post allegations on her Instagram page and hired a civil lawyer, who is known for high profile lawsuits, both of Remy’s lawyers assert there's credible evidence to support that this is a baseless case and nothing more than a money grab attempt," Duke said.
Remy turned herself in on May 1st to face a misdemeanor assault charge. She was later released on $1,500 bail. The arrest sparked an investigation into a parole violation.
"Remy is currently still on parole. She has approximately 85 days of supervision left of her 5-year post-release sentence. Nevertheless, for the past 4 years and 9 months she has been a model citizen by maintaining employment, completing all mandatory programs, staying drug-free, adhering to all rules and has never even had a curfew violation," her publicist continued.
Taylor accused Remy of punching her in the right eye backstage at Pretty Lou's Charity Concert at Irving Plaza around 9:30 p.m.. However, the release of the statement comes shortly after Remy's lawyer said there's visual evidence proving that the rapper was at home at the time Taylor claimed she was assaulted.
