Congratulations to Taraji P. Henson!

Taraji P. Henson may have lost her jacket and diamond ring at the recent Golden Globes but she's now gained something even better, a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. The ceremony is set to take place on January 28th with Baby Boy director John Singleton and singer Mary J. Blige who will share words on just why Taraji deserves the recognition.

Taraji's resume shows off roles in Hidden Figures, Empire, Proud Mary and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (which gave her an Oscar nomination).

“Taraji P Henson is a powerful woman and a powerful actress. She is an entertainer that fans cannot take their eyes off of due to her great acting ability,” producer of the Walk Of Fame, Ana Martinez said. “We welcome her bright star on our Walk Of Fame.”

"She is everybody's alter ego. She crosses cultures," Taraji said of her Empire character, Cookie.

"[Last year] we went to Paris and screened the pilot for a thousand people. Lee Daniels [the series' cocreator] brought me onstage. The audience stood up on their feet and clapped. I cried because, for so long in Hollywood, I've been told that black women don't do well overseas, that they can't open a film overseas. That moment for me was the best moment of my life. That's better than any trophy, any award, any nomination. You know how they say music can heal the world? I feel that way about art in general."
