"Although I'm an athlete, I'm not a cookie-cutter quarterback."

Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield does not regret calling former coach Hue Jackson "fake" after the latter went and signed with the division rival Cincinnati Bengals.

Following Sunday's 35-20 victory against the Bengals, Mayfield said he took it personally that Jackson joined the Bengals staff just days after being fired by the Browns.

The 23-year old QB shined in Sunday's win against the Bengals, throwing for 258 yards with four touchdowns and zero interceptions as the Browns improved to 4-6-1 for the season. However, it seems that his take on Jackson's signing with the Bengals is all that people are talking about.

ESPN's Damian Woody criticized Mayfield for his post-game comments during Monday's episode of "First Take," calling the QB immature and a hypocrite. Mayfield clapped back via Instagram by describing Jackson as "fake," as seen in the screenshot embedded below.

When asked on Wednesday if he regretted anything he said about Jackson or calling him fake:

"No," he replied, via Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. "People took it as me personally attacking Hue. That is not it. It's the fact that I get to have my own opinion on how it transpired and he gets to do what he wants. That's how it is. Although I'm an athlete, I'm not a cookie-cutter quarterback. Never have been. Never will be. I speak my mind, that's how I am. So, I didn't like the move and people don't have to care. I'm not looking for anybody's approval. I don't regret any of it. It's about this team and what we have and we have to stick together and play together."

The Browns will host the Bengals in Week 16.

For the record, Damien Woody isn't backing down from his comments either. Check out his rebuttal in the video embedded below.
