It's been a tumultuous last couple of weeks for Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans. News leaked that Davis wanted a trade out of New Orleans, with the Los Angeles Lakers being his number one trade destination. No trade was made in the end and now Davis has to finish out the season with the Pelicans. Unfortunately for Davis, things have not been going well as the team was blown out by the Orlando Magic last night by a score of 118-88. Afterward, Davis had some harsh words for how his team played.

"We sucked," Davis said according to ESPN. "Nobody was interested in playing, is what it looked like."

Davis played 24 minutes because ever since his trade demand, the team has been limiting minutes so that he doesn't get injured and ultimately ruin his value come the summer. The superstar only picked up three points and hit only one of his nine shots. While he wasn't happy with the team, he wasn't happy with himself either.

"Obviously I missed a lot of shots, a lot of easy shots -- layups and stuff that I normally make -- early in the game," Davis explained. "But they came out more desperate. They played like they were playing for something, and they showed it."

The Pelicans are 13th in the Western Conference with a record of 25-33.
