Back in 2016, a shooting at a Meek Mill concert left two men dead. The families of men filed lawsuits against the rapper, Oakdale Musical Theatre Company, and Live Nation for negligence. While Meek has continued to deny any wrongdoing in the situation, two of the families are demanding $6M to settle the wrongful death suits against the rapper.
According to The Blast, the families of Jaquan Graves and Travis Ward filed court documents explaining that they're willing to settle their separate lawsuits against Meek Mill for $6M in total. The two estates said they'll accept $3M each to end their case against Meek Mill. Meek's yet to respond to the offers.
Meek was hit with two separate lawsuits last year by the families of Jacquan Graves and Travis Ward after they were both shot and killed outside of Oakdale Musical Theatre Company in Connecticut where Meek Mill was performing. In both lawsuits, Meek Mill, the venue, and Live Nation were accused of being negligent in the way they handled the security of the concert. Meek's lyrics were also pointed out in the suit, accusing the rapper's music of inciting violence. The also pointed out that similar situations have occurred at previous Meek Mill concert.
Meek Mill has previously denied any allegations that he was involved in the shooting, claiming he couldn't have known that a shooting was going to occur.
