Joe Budden analyzes his former group member's recent spat with Tory Lanez.

It was only a matter of time before Joe Budden weighed in on the ongoing Tory Lanez and Royce Da 5'9" feud. Alongside co-hosts Rory and Mal, Budden took a moment to reflect on the nature of the recent Twitter beef, and the dangers that might arise upon telling another man to "suck your dick."

"Just when we had a slow news week," says Budden. "Ladies and gentlemen, Tory Lanez." The podcast host proceeds to recap the events of the budding Nickel Vs. Lanez showdown, which originally popped off after Royce declared for Joyner Lucas. Naturally, Budden found himself validating the reputation of his former groupmate, chuckling at Royce's aggressive retorts.

"And now time for some scathing hot takes," says Joe, his traditional modus operandi. On that note, Mal seems to think Tory is destined for an ass-beating, a notion echoed by Rory, to a lesser extent. "Suck my dick, that's fighting words," he explains, implying that Tory brought it deeper than rap. Budden chimes in, stating "I know Royce well enough to kinda know his thinking here. It's going to be, no, I'm not talking rapping, not talking fighting, I wasn't talking to you at all. I'm not here for these little kid games."

The conversation eventually shifts to the initial catalyst, which is to say, Royce siding with Joyner. "Today, it's kind of not okay to have your own opinion," says Joe. "Today is when your opinion will get you loss of your job, loss of your friends, loss of your reputation. Everything I see these kids doing now is to hide their real opinions now."  Mal expresses that Tory wouldn't tell Gucci Mane to suck his dick, or Jeezy, or Rick Ross for that matter.

Budden counters that Tory has had his fair share of "RnB fights," including fan brawls and a Travis Scott scuffle. "He clearly does not know Royce very well," explains Budden, no doubt referring to Nickel's notorious wild days. Still, it seems as if the thought of viral fame can transcend logic and inhibition. "I see Tory and Jacquees attempting to do the same thing," says Buden. "Tory ain't had as much engagement going with him as he had with his Joyner exchange. Once he saw the effects from it...once that you see the audience is alive and thriving, now you're playing into that."

Still, Budden advises Tory that a Detroit concert might not be the wisest idea. Peep the full podcast below.
